BACK TO WORK AFTER 6 MONTHS 😁😁😁
Just what it says in the name. It's about anything and everything happening in our lives.
Ok. As we all know by now there is a presidential election count ongoing in the United States of Murica. 2,000 ish miles away on another continent. Fine. Most countries have elections both governmental and presidential. What I don't understand is how the whole world seems to be enthralled with only the American one. It's all over the media both mainstream and social.
I don't get it. What's so special about America. It's not going to effect my life here or yours wherever you are outside of the United States. It's just the same as Ireland or any other European country or anywhere else in the world when they have elections. You talk to someone about any other countries elections any time of the year and the majority don't even care some don't even know when other countries elections are ongoing as it's barely mentioned as headlines in any media platform other than the country itself.
The American elections though, are splashed everywhere. Tabloids, broadsheets, radio, t.v. and the social platforms in almost every piece of land inhabited across the world. WHY!!!!! It's ridiculous. It has people in a frenzy. It has people fighting and arguing over who's better or worse. It has people zombified from being stuck to the T.V's or mobile devices(sometimes both, at the same time). It has social media sites all in a tizzy with trolls and bullies having a field day with people just giving an opinion. It's bloody crazy that's what it is.
Now I know for some it's for pure entertainment or for others it's an escape from normal monotonous day to day living but really it's just so unimportant in our lives today and it's causing a lot of rifts and negativity between people. Seriously like, what's the President of America EVER going to do for us.
I do blame the media completely. I mean especially in these times when we should be concentrating more on what's affecting us here and now in our homes and communities when help is needed locally and your neighbour or friend could be going through a rough patch and need a helping hand, a chat or just a bit of company and where are most of us?, Glued to a television/mobile/tablet/PC watching them COUNT VOTES in a country thousands of miles away. (People are actually staying up 24hrs watching this crap) No wonder the people in the world are becoming more and more robotic. The media has most of us hypnotized and enslaved to commercialism because that's all it really is.
So anyway, got that out and I have a very special breaking news story that you won't find in the media today or any day soon. Stuff like this doesn't get passed the censorship right now because I don't think they want us to be happy at the moment. They'd rather have us bickering and arguing between ourselves and have us all depressed and anxious. So here's something to lighten and brighten the day hopefully.
BREAKING NEWS
McDonald's Makes History in the Middle East!!
According to sources(anonymous for security reasons) the first McDonald's Fast food restaurant has been opened in a community in the middle east. This is a huge step in westernized culture being accepted in the area. Local man ......(name withheld)(again for security reasons) said he was delighted with the addition in his community as the area needed a boost in jobs and finance. Although it has only been open a week or so it has become quite popular in the area and very busy every day, so much so that they regularly run out of food and have to close early.
One unfortunate would be customer who has queued for several days has been so unlucky that he has yet to get a taste of the wonderful new cuisine available just down the street from him. The owner of the new outlet has addressed the issue by promising to open a couple more stores in the area in the coming days. Locals are ecstatic!
Luckily I have managed to secure proof of this exciting new venture for McDonald's and the middle east in the form of a photo taken just yesterday as they opened for another good day of business....
Have a good day! LOL!
Fantastic day again here today. Sun shining all day. A bit cold but a bit of exercise soon warms you up. Went a bit further around today as I have to ease back into the training. It was refreshing though and the views were amazing. Didn't get photos as I left the technology behind. I felt disconnected in a good way 😁
Didn't get up to much else as I had a few things to do online too. A brisk walk in a while will top it off nicely before bed.
As I was online today I came across a few funny items randomly which gave me a few burst of laughter that was well needed. Like this article on books that were published years ago and was highlighting the mindset of some people in those times who went and got their ideas/stories published. It was really entertaining I must say. I didn't remember to save the link but I did save a few pics of the actual books. Now, these could very easily be fakes. We all know a bit about fakeness(is it a word?) on the internet and how it's becoming harder to see the deception these days. Anyway, they certainly gave me a few chuckles. Here are the best two LOL!
Another one I came across was even better. "The weirdest town names in the world" These are class except one or two that are just silly. Have fun with these 😂
Here we go, keep scrolling. It will be perfect for this time of year 😁
Happy bonus day. Take care.
Well that's it for Halloween for another year. Hope you all had a fantastic night.
Now we enter winter. Not a favourite season of mine at all. Due to genetics and a very active lifestyle I do not have the ability to withstand the perishing temperatures of below 10 degrees celsius. It's just so hard for me to function in such low temperatures(I should have been a bear). There is also the long, dark and boring nights that seem to drag on and on unless there is some excitement around.
There are of course some elements of the winter that I do like such as snow and........well that's it basically.......and I suppose those crisp sunny dry days that are few and far between in Ireland.
I could say christmas too but I wouldn't be completely true to myself saying I like it but there are a few things that I do like about the holiday. Socializing and catching up with relatives and friends. The happiness it brings to people especially the kids. All in all I think it's just a load of stress and hassle as it has become so commercialized now.
I do enjoy getting out some days and trekking about seeing all the changes in nature happening right under our feet. Snow covered hills and mountains, forest floors carpeted in decaying leaves, nuts and berries with that earthy/charcoal aroma.
It's great to come home afterwards and tuck into a steaming bowl of stew or just a nice hot cup of tea while you warm yourself by whatever means you have yourself(fire, rad, heater). Most of all, what I do enjoy about the winter is the cozyness of being inside when the weather is just too nasty to be out and about. It's just so comforting looking out at the misery when you are all toasty and relaxed indoors(especially wrapped in a quilt).
So, I hope the winter is kind to you all and ye have many happy and exciting experiences this winter. Stay safe, stay warm and stay good 😉
Ok, so going through old book marks I found a link to this blog spot. Forgot completely that I had this. I obviously set it up while boredo...
